We have an exciting service opportunity that is taking place right here at the church. From December 9-16, Fellowship Asheville will be the site of transitional housing for previously homeless women that are working toward permanent housing. We are partnering with Homeward Bound to provide this housing as they complete this program. This is a program we have done in the past that has made a considerable impact not only with the ladies we are hosting but also in the hearts of the volunteers that minister to these ladies.

There are many ways you can make this hosting event a success.

Overnight Supervision

Time: 7:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Provide overnight supervision at the church building. One volunteer must be a female. You can sleep in shifts, but one person must be awake at all times. Bring a sleeping bag and pillow. A mattress will be provided.

Transportation

Morning

Time: Weekdays and Sunday 6:45 AM, Saturday 7:45 AM

A vehicle will be provided for you to use. Pick up the ladies from the church building and deliver them to three TBD locations downtown.

Evening

Time: 5:15 - 6:15 PM

A vehicle will be provided for you to use. Pick up the vehicle from the church building and then pick up the ladies from AHOPE and take them back to the church building.

Dinner

Time: 5:30 - 7:00 PM

Prepare dinner and drinks for our 12 guests. The meals can be prepared in advance, or at the church building. The dinner team is welcome to eat with the ladies. This team will stay until the overnight team arrives at 7:00 PM.

If you would like to be part of this incredible opportunity, you can sign up through the link below, or on Sundays at one of the For Asheville recruit tables. If you have any questions, please email Caleb Burchet.
